Build trust and establish a rapport with customers and prospects. Being involved with a Chamber event and being seen as dependable and supportive will accelerate the process. Standing out in the crowd by serving as a sponsor highlights businesses with a like minded audience.

It is important for the Elected Officials who represent Delaware County to hear from both the Chamber and the Chamber’s Members.  The Chamber regularly holds Government forums, bringing Business and Government together, to ensure channels of communication remain open.

 Chester's State of the City:
The City of Chester, Delaware County’s only designated City, remains a focal point for reinvestment and redevelopment. Once the home of shipbuilding and automotive manufacturing, the City today strives to capitalize on its assets and attract new business and industries including entertainment, technology and manufacturing. Chester’s Mayor provides attendees with updates to activities that are ongoing in the city to attract new businesses, to address infrastructure needs and encourage entrepreneurial growth.

State of the County Annual Forum:
Over 22,000 businesses and 550,000 people call Delaware County home. The diversity of industries, business size, communities, and demographics create inevitable challenges for its elected leaders. At this forum the Members of Delaware County Council and the County’s Commerce Center present recent activities and future plans outlining the continued growth of Delaware County.

 Pennsylvania State Budget Address:
Pennsylvania’s multi-billion dollar state budget affects all businesses operating in Pennsylvania, regardless of size, industry or type. This forum provides an opportunity for Members of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce to hear directly from and provide input to the Lieutenant Governor on the proposed state budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Pennsylvania State Annual Forum:
The vast majority of legislation that directly impacts business comes from State Government. The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce invites all State Legislators from both the General Assembly and Senate. Here they discuss potential legislation, new laws, and budgetary updates as well as receive feedback and answer questions from Chamber Members.

 Annual Federal Forum:
Our elected officials in Washington DC are challenged with the task of ensuring that growth in the business community is not hampered by over-burdensome legislation and that the Federal Government provides the necessary resources for a well trained workforce and business growth and support opportunities. The Federal Forum serves as an opportunity for Members to meet with our Federal representatives and hold an open dialogue to discuss national issues that impact business in Delaware County.
