SPRINGFIELD, PA – On Thursday, May 20 at 9:00 a.m. the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Economic Equity (B&EE) Committee will host Supplier Diversity Program: Best Practices Forum via Zoom. The B&EE Committee is inviting minority owned businesses to the virtual forum to learn more about the process of biding for outsourced jobs at the local organizations that prioritize working with diverse vendors. Event panelists include representatives from local organizations that prioritize supplier diversity like Essential Utilities and AmeriHealth Caritas. Not only will these representatives talk about their organization’s programs, but they will also cover what they look for when vetting businesses they hire as vendors. Many organizations are currently making it priority to utilize minority-owned, women-owned, veteran owned and disabled-owned businesses in their day-to-day operations. The chamber and its B&EE committee encourage businesses that are interested in learning more about creating their own Supplier Diversity Program to register and attend.
