On June 29, we proudly opened our new Early Learning Center in partnership with Delaware County Community College, welcoming children, and families into our vibrant space. We happily welcomed children and families into our new center located at 409 N. Lansdowne Ave. Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
This is far more than the opening of a new building—it is the realization of a vision that will allow us to serve more children, support more families, and strengthen our community for generations to come. Every classroom, learning space, and play area has been thoughtfully designed with children in mind, creating an environment where curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning can flourish. We invite families with children aged six months through kindergarten to join us in this exciting journey.

And because this center was developed in partnership with Delaware County Community College, we’re bringing together strong programming and best-practice training under one roof—ensuring our children get the very best start possible.
What is the age group for this facility?
The YMCA Early Learning at DCCC program will offer
- Infants: 6 months-12 months
- Young toddler Care: 12months- 1 year
- Older Toddler Care: 1year – 2 years
- Preschool Care: 3 – 5 years
- Kindergarten 5-6 years
Our Early Learning Center is proudly recognized as a Keystone STARS – STAR 4 Center, which is the highest quality rating a program can earn in Pennsylvania’s Keystone STARS system. This rating reflects our commitment to excellence in early childhood education — from our curriculum and classroom environments to staff qualifications and family engagement.
We’re also fully licensed through OCDEL (Pennsylvania’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning), ensuring that every part of our program meets the state’s highest standards for safety, quality, and care.
Together, these credentials underscore the level of trust families can place in the YMCA Early Learning Program at DCCC as we provide a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for young children.
The YMCA Early Learning Center at DCCC licensed capacity is 140 children.
